Women’s Health Services (WHS), a non-profit
health care provider, is the oldest and largest women-focused primary
care practice in Santa Fe. For 30 years, WHS has provided superior
health care for Northern New Mexico women and has tirelessly championed
the need for research and clinical application of gender-specific
health care. WHS is headed by Dr. Justina Trott, President of the
American College of Women Health Physicians and a nationally renowned
expert on women’s health. Under her leadership, WHS has been
federally designated as one of 12 National
Community Centers of Excellence in Women’s Health.
Our practice is based on the knowledge of the impact of gender on all aspects of a woman's body. We recognize that well being depends on the psycological, social, spiritual and physical health. We honor western, traditional and complementary approaches. We are dedicated to a woman's right to fully informed treatment.
WHS provides primary care through our Family Practice physicians and
Certified Nurse Practitioners and specialty care across a broad range
of services including Acupuncture, Bone Density Testing, Gynecology, Integrated Behavioral Health Counseling, Internal Medicine, Menopausal Therapies and Massage.
Women's Health Services is located upstairs at 901 West Alameda.

Director of Policy, Research, and Education
Dr. Justina Trott returned to our organization in September 2009 after completing her Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellowship in D.C. Her new title is Director of Policy, Research and Education and she will continue her work with Women’s Health Services (WHS) to further our vision and implementation of the Center of Excellence in Women’s Health model. Dr. Trott’s primary role will be to lead an initiative in partnership with the WHS Executive Director to evaluate, reorganize, and restructure WHS towards becoming a leader in the CCOE movement nationwide. She is currently serving as interim Medical Director.
These organizational models include multiple components of care: primary care services, health care screenings and wellness, outreach and education, professional education, leadership, and research that are informed by sex- gender-based medicine. We are extremely excited that she is back, working full-time in a key leadership role at WHS.
